Detroit Swing Band Packs the Dance Floor with Big Band Hits at SE Michigan Wedding Reception
Patrick and Rebecca, a bridal couple that wanted to have a live swing band for their Detroit wedding reception, chose Rare Blend in part due to the band’s extensive book of swing arrangements and talented musicians. They wanted a band that could incorporate the big band sound throughout the evening. During Mary’s first conversation with her, Rebecca said, “I did a lot of swing dancing in college with my friends. We just love swing dancing!” One of Rebecca’s friends told Mary at this Detroit wedding reception that she and her college friends spent hours taking swing lessons and watching old Fred Astaire movies to perfect their dance steps and moves. With an emphasis on swing and big band songs, Rare Blend packed the dance floor with amazingly talented swing dancers!
